You either make a stand for the truth or fall for the lie.

When election time comes, where are you? A question with a double meaning. Where do you stand politically, and where are you physically on that day?

This is a topic that very few churches or Christians will ever talk about, yet, this cannot be ignored.

In such a world as today, how can we be so passive and/or ignorant when we should be standing up for the truth? We can’t just hide away in our houses and pretend nothing is happening. Neither can we simply choose not to vote.

Too many Christians say we can’t mix Christianity with politics, but the fact is that the decisions our politicians and leaders make affect us in one way or another. Our schools are being indoctrinated with gender issues, Pride activities and feminism, and we are no longer allowed anything Christian, largely for fear of offending Muslims coming in. (Genesis 1:27 — God created male and female.) No other genders are mentioned in the Bible.

Sadly, our children and grandchildren are getting very mixed messages. Some teachers are encouraging them to choose. If a girl wants to be a boy, it’s OK to change, or if a boy wants to be a girl, it’s OK to change. It has now gone to the extreme in some cases, where teachers are expected to call a child by his or her chosen name or pronoun. In other situations, social services may become involved when there is a serious disagreement between parents and teachers over a child’s gender identity.

But as Christians, can we really remain silent and simply accept this? What are we teaching our children when we allow them to believe that they can choose whether they are male or female, rather than teaching them what God’s Word says? The Bible tells us clearly that God created male and female (Genesis 1:27). As parents and grandparents, we have a responsibility to stand up for the truth and to teach our children what God says, rather than simply going along with what the world is telling them.

Young children are given Pride rainbows to paint, along with bracelets and hearts, during the month of June, and are taught to talk about love and acceptance. This is becoming the new norm.

Wait until they get a bit older, and then they have this, along with climate change, thrown at them through almost every textbook out there. They are made to feel guilty that they are part of the problem and are taught to watch their carbon footprint.

Marxism and socialism have been put into and have influenced the minds of the majority of teachers over the years, and many of them have very left-sided opinions, which influence their teaching and, ultimately, our children.

Open borders and mass immigration aren’t biblical. (Acts 17:26; Deuteronomy 32:8) We can’t sit back with our heads buried in the sand and watch our countries being invaded, particularly when the majority are entering illegally and have a very different religion.

One thing is to help genuine refugees and those in need who come to our countries for a better life, look for work and integrate into society. But it is another thing when people come with the intention of not integrating, bringing their own ideologies and opposing our religion, values and laws.

As Christians, we shouldn’t be afraid to speak about these issues. We can show compassion towards those in need while also recognising that nations have borders, laws and responsibilities to their own citizens.

I have watched over the years as Islam has taken over my country, England, and now they are here in Spain, doing the same. They are also bringing with them Sharia law and changing our streets. Mosques are being built, they are praying several times a day in public where they want to, and now we are even being told that we can’t walk our dogs near them because it offends them. It’s crazy!

Not only do most Muslims object to aspects of our Christian culture, but there is also growing opposition to many of our Christian traditions and beliefs. Nativity plays in schools, Christian hymns, Christmas markets, nativity scenes, Easter celebrations and even the public display of crosses tend to be offensive to them. Little by little, our Christian culture and traditions are being pushed aside, while we are expected to accommodate beliefs and practices that are very different from our own.

They are not here to integrate, but to invade. Open your eyes and look around the next time you go out.

Top universities across the West are standing up for Palestine and, whether they realise it or not, many are also giving support to Hamas by doing so. Many are taking to the streets to support the Palestinian cause. How blind can people be? Hamas is a terrorist organisation with no good intentions whatsoever.

You can ask the average university student what they mean when they chant, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” In fact, many don’t even know which river or sea they are talking about, or the history behind the words they are chanting. Palestine never was a separate nation.

Unfortunately, all that I have mentioned above, which is very watered down in content, causes us to be called white Christian supremacists. The moment we talk as I have or stand against the left-wing agenda, we are attacked and labelled. We are also called conspiracy theorists, racists, nationalists, unaccepting and unloving. It is considered hate speech when we talk like this.

When we stand against massive illegal immigration, and when we see our leaders freely letting them in, we are the ones who are made out to be the bad ones.

The left-wing socialist government of Spain has intentionally turned its back on Israel. Spain is now treating Israel as an enemy, despite Israel being God’s promised nation. The mainstream media is constantly portraying Israel and the IDF as cruel and focusing on the number of women and children killed in Gaza. But what about October 7th, 2023? Have you forgotten? Who attacked whom?

It was a coordinated massacre in which Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups deliberately attacked Israeli communities, killing and abducting hundreds of innocent civilians. Israel was brutally attacked, and like any country that has been attacked, it has the right to defend itself. 

We should remember how this war began and who launched the attack that triggered it.

I am fed up with seeing AI-generated images of wounded children and women supposedly in Gaza, and videos of undernourished children that have been taken from other countries or misrepresented and then used to make Israel look like the perpetrator. There has also been a huge amount of misinformation and manipulated material circulating online. We need to question what we are being shown rather than automatically believing every image or video we see.

Hamas has operated from within and around civilian infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, and the IDF has repeatedly said that it takes steps to warn civilians before attacks, including advance warnings and evacuation instructions.

Stop and think for a moment. Have you fallen for everything you have been told by the mainstream news? Have you looked at both sides of the story? Have you remembered October 7th and what happened to innocent Israeli civilians? And are you still supporting the left-wing socialist party?

So, returning to our topic, it’s black and white: are you aware of what your vote is supporting?

Let’s be clear: there is not one leader or government that is pure or that doesn’t lie. But when it comes to choosing which way to vote, we should know what they are representing. Looking at these issues from a biblical perspective, as we always should, today’s Spanish left-wing government, the PSOE, supports the view that more than one gender is acceptable (Genesis 1:27), euthanasia (Exodus 20:13), abortion (Psalm 139:13–16), same-sex marriage (Romans 1:26–27; Leviticus 18:22), open borders and mass immigration, and policies that refuse to support Israel (Genesis 12:3; Joel 3:2), to name but a few.

As Christians, how should we see these issues? Should we simply vote according to what is popular, what benefits us personally, or what the world tells us is acceptable? Or should we look at the policies and values being put before us and ask what the Bible says about them? It is so important that we choose the party that stands for the most biblical principles possible, and that today in Spain, under the current government, is not the case.

Despite all our frustrations about what is happening around us, we must remember that God has the final say and keep our eyes focused on Him, not on any global leader, politician or YouTuber. Only God knows the truth, and He has everything under His control.

Remember, we are seeing Bible prophecy coming to pass. These are exciting days, and we need not be afraid. It is so important that we keep close to God and not let our frustrations get the better of us.

Keep looking up and trusting Him who is above everything.
